Frequently asked questions.
How do you price your work?
What a great question. Its been a big one for me starting out, and I’m sure is for all artists. I use two main formulas I found online - assigning an hourly rate, and putting a dollar value to each square inch. I went with low values for each starting out, so $1 per square inch. Then I add on cost of materials (or as close as I can get it). Some other factors like complexity factor in too.
How did you first start out your business?
There’s so much to this. Turning my art into a business first culminated into a serious idea last year (2024), when I start a new job, and started listening to the Art Juice podcast on Spotify. The Art Juice ladies made me realise that I could turn my creativity into a business, and the new job made me realise that I need to haha. Check out my blog for more info on this as I’ll be teasing it out as I go. Or, send an email with specific question if you like!
Where do you get your frames?
They’re custom made! My dad who can make anything, makes my canvas frames by hand. The watercolour paper frames are bought from local stores.
Shipping
All orders will be processed and shipped within 3-4 days. I use Australia post and go off their prices. Orders over $75 will be free shipping. If the cart doesn't automatically update with this let me know as I am still ironing out the kinks. Thanks for your patience.
Returns policy
I am absolutely happy to refund you if you aren’t satisfied. Typically with commissions the deposit is kept if you change your mind, and if I’ve started the work, if not then I am happy to refund you that. Just reach out.
Viewing art before purchasing
Reach out if you’d like to see my art in person before you buy. Art always looks better in real life. If its a big piece, I can even bring it to you and we can see how it looks on your wall - if its fits etc. I also often have something up at a local Gallery.
