Logos, shipping and sausage rolls
It’s been a big week - which feels like a silly thing to say when every week is huge.
I’ve made a logo that i’m happy with for now. I’m sure in a few weeks time i’ll hate it again. But I think I like this one more than the last. How?
I used an Ai logo maker online then when they asked me to pay $20 to download it I screenshoted it on my phone, edited it to be circular and uploaded it on my website. It’s actually crazy because me and dad spent ages on my pc trying to cut out the background of a logo we made and even then it wouldn’t upload without the square edges. I don’t even know why i’ve insisted on having a round logo.
Well it was super easy on my galaxy to download and cut out as a circle so lesson learnt there. The easy way isn’t always the most obvious.
I decided to make a business email as recommended by someone who had their own successful business. I’d been turned off making a business email as it was looking like i’d have to pay for it! Turns out you can make multiple emails on the one google account. Artbybreige@gmail.com was available and this was also easy peasy! Crazy that.
I then made a business PayPal! Also super easy and free! Crazy. Business PayPal has business analytics which helps me see how much money i havent’t made yet haha.
I linked PayPal to my squarespace website and viola.
What got me stuck was setting up shipping 🫠 I think I was just tired at this stage. I’ve set up some basic shipping but setting the weights of everything and estimating the cost of shipping is a drag! My brain hates that fernikity stuff. I’ll tackle that beast another day.
Finally, we just successfully made our first batch of sausage rolls! They actually turned out amazing. We didn’t have all the ingredients of the recipe and we replaced things and Winged it a fair bit but they are delicious 👌 pork, star anise and thyme. Yum.
Have a great week y'all
