‘I am Free’ is a reminder that we always have a choice, even if it feels like we don’t much of the time. We can choose how we react and what we do and don’t accept. If we are unhappy with our lives, we can change that, sometimes just in small ways.
This piece is dear to me as it shows the birds eye view of my local beach, from the perspective of brown wedge-tailed eagle like bird. I didn’t base the bird specifically on the wedge-tailed eagle as I looked at a few different reference photos at the time.
Previously exhibited at Port Macquarie Roto House and the library as part of the ‘Longing and Belonging’ exhibition.
Will be at my Solo exhibition at King Tide Brewery, Coffs Harbour, from 31st October, 2026.
